Most everyone experiences anxiety and that panic feeling at some time in their life. This is normal, however if you experience anxiety and panic on a regular basis and its getting the best of you here are some basic guidelines to help you get started feeling better right away.
- Stop all caffeine including chocolate, decaf coffee, soda. Even if you think your morning cup of coffee is so early in the day how could it bother you later in the day. Caffeine is processed in your body differently for each person and can stay in your system for hours contributing to your anxiety and panic.
- Eat breakfast, even if you don’t like to eat in the morning you must eat something because if not, your blood sugar can become unstable causing you to feel panic and anxiety
- If you watch television please eliminate anything that makes you feel the least bit uncomfortable, like the news, intense shows and movies. I like Turner Classic Movies because they are usually soothing and give that more relaxed feeling.
- Lavender essential oil
- Sleepy Time Tea
- Blood Test for thyroid problems (low and high thyroid levels can make you feel panic and anxiety)
